O o o o o h L o o k a t t h i s ! !
We have the mighty Matt Smith to thank for this humongous ASCII logo thing..
He's actually done a load more to take us up to issue 30 as well, which puts a
fairly heavy obligation on us to carry on at least to that time!!
Time - 19.30 hours...
Date - 27th May 1997...
Music - Mega Apocalypse, Rob Hubbard, FlaySID player...
Maggie 23 - Finished at last!!
State of Mind - Don't ask!
This is the final waffle bit that we chuck on the end of the issue, otherwise
known as the readme.doc, but why? Well it's a crowded issue with more articles
than ever, and hang on, we've done this already.. There were some other last
minute topics of note to bring into this text instead, let's have a go at some
of these instead..
Eezi-PC Maggie seems to have had more of an effect than we bargained for..
At Dave H's get-together, a lot of Jagdoom Deathmatch was played, very hot
chilli con carne eaten with pungent bodily gases exhaled shortly afterwards by
certain people too.. Steve Moore (mad assembly coder, writes for ST+ magazine,
speaks like he is understudying for Werner Von Braun) made my weekend by
telling me that his brother was seriously contemplating getting a PC, then he
read 'Eezi-PC Maggie' and decided not to! - RESULT!!!
Oh, and I've got a modem as well, which was very cheap (14400 baud) and
lacking a serial cable, but I should be online fairly soon..
Expect loads of smug self-satisified IRC #Atari and Internet in-jokes which
irritate the hell out of off-liners?? We should have a semi-regular IRC
presence either through our own online resources, or on someone else's phone
bill, such as the Wessex Atari Group (WAG)
If the soundchip music in this issue sounds a bit odd, then sorry.. My old
STFM decided not to give me any sound output whatsoever when I was testing
this issue, so I can't tell if that part of it is working or not.. It should
be okay, as I used a Count Zero tune which always comes up okay with our
modified music player..
Finally, some last minute news and views scooped from the simmering pot of
speculation and innuendo that is the wonderful world of Atari.. Time will tell
if any, or indeed all of these, come to pass?
A big demo party is to be held in Warsaw shortly?
Some kind of re-emergence of EKO has been mooted?
A sequel to the Bugs from Outer Space demo may be seen at the Nordic Atari
Show and released shortly afterwards?
Bonus and Fun wish to continue with the Magnetic Interlude diskmag alliance,
which would presume they are doing further issues of Fun Magazine?
Okay, time to go now!!
CiH, until the next time..
